She Was The Light

In the dark she was the light. She held my hand as she spoke with her eyes.They said to me there is no need to be afraid as long as your heart is mine. They let me know that she is where I belong. And we' ll still be together even long after we're gone. But she went first and now I sit here alone in the dark. Trying to hold on to what is left of my heart. But I know I'll make it out with her by my side. Because even in death she is still the light
