Shedding No More Tears: Poem by Dwayne Bailey

I’ve shed all the tears I am going to shed;
I am ready to start anew;
Find someone else to love,
someone whose views are not so squad..
I am tired of feeling like damaged goods,
less then a whole man;
I am worth much more then I thought before
, and that I have come to understand.

I know I have made bad mistakes,
some that cost me my wife;
Some that cost me my home and car
, and added to my daily strife.
For Iam not a bad person,
this fact I have come to believe;
I know I will find that special someone,
whose the only one my heart will see.

Until that day I must continue,
to do the next right thing;
Know I am right where I am supposed to be,
and one day my heart again will sing.
For I will fall in love again,
and my life once again I will share;
The passage of time will heal these wounds,
for another I will love and care.
