Shelly Elaine Poem by Broken Shell

Shelly Elaine

So she flies into my life like light shines in a room.
Heals all the pain I feel inside when it used to just all consume.
She tells me all the time that I'm such a good man.
She laughs at all my jokes like I'm some kind of comedian.

And she smiles, she smiles, she smiles
and flies me miles away from my yesterday.
And she sings, she sings, she sings
and brings heaven down like an angel found.

Sweeter than a summer's breeze, purer than a springtime rain,
gentler than a baby's sleep, like a secret I just can't keep
when I say her name...

You're my Shelly Elaine.

: -)
