Shimmering Pearls Poem by Rich Young

Shimmering Pearls

The sun came through the window pane
trip
trip
trip
as webs of silk.

The wind blew through the
autumn leaves
whisper
whisper
whisper
as children's lips.
The rain fell gently on
your face
patter
patter
patter
as watery pearls.
