Shine A Light Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

Shine A Light

Could you shine a light on me, it will be only a moment of your time.
Well don’t you see what’s ahead of your future, things will change I know.

Well there was a light that was shining so brightly, and then you came in my view.
I had to say, that you were beautiful as can be. You nearly made me lose balance.

The sun was out, not even a rain cloud above. I thought there was a light, but it was just fading.

So could you take my hand my darling, could you help walk on my feet?
I thought, I saw a light in your eyes. But it was only a reflection of me.

As we walk together, I would like to thank you for your help today.
You have made the skies clear and beautiful.

So would you please shine a light on me, if it doesn’t shine let me know?
You have made everything so clear to me, as if it was a clear day out.
