Shinigami Poem by Kelly Aragon

Shinigami

*a shinigami is a reaper, a death deity in japanese culture.
I'd like to dedicate this poem to my friend Jocyelen, we both watch and read anime, and we both love it.

They hide in the shadows,
And carefully watch,
As our life goes by,
With the tick of a clock,

Silently watching,
Without a sound,
No one can see them,
They pass with the hour,

They whisper their secrets,
Straight into our ears,
Over our lifetime,
Over the years,

Sad little stories,
Softly sung songs,
They whisper to us,
Day and night long,

I know it's been watching,
Me all along,
Waiting to sing me,
My final sad song,

Everyone has one,
That will silently watch,
Over their life,
'Till they breath their last breath,

So this poem I dedicate,
To you my sad one,
My little reaper,
My shinigami*.
