Shining Stars Poem by anteaus berryhill

Shining Stars

When I look at the stars.

I look at dreams.

I wish sometimes that I could purchase.

Stars I wish I could touch.

So I can spark and shine like them.

Shoot across the skies that enlightens our eyes.

See my ancestors that speak the words of the wise.

Nothing but the truth, but no lies

I am trying to go for all highs.

But no lows, because I am trying to climb to the stars and soar.

Where I can overcome from the lions and a bears that roar.

But howl like the spirit of a wolf.

Not diving off a cliff.

But seeing the clear truth not as a myth.

To get it how I live in this life to gain more wisdom.

To get success as a shine like a star over the shore.

Reflecting my shine from the mirror of a river.

As my view gets realer by seeing the face of my father's father.

Like simba I just want to be a lion king or Martin Luther King.

With a dream.

To find success for gold medals like a dream team.
