Shipwreck Of A Heart Poem by Alexzia Ferdinand

Shipwreck Of A Heart

it's bittersweet when we fit together
my puzzle piece and i
he smiles assuringly
hums me sweet sweet melodies
and says he's free now
i believe i want to be free too
fly together, let's
my mockingbird and i

but winged creatures and puzzle pieces aren't
quite compatible
and you made it
astonishingly clear
you're a bird-
i'm a puzzle
and we just
don't seem to
fit
together ever
