Shoe Fashion Poem by Paula Glynn

Shoe Fashion

I have to say,
I just love shoes,
I am a woman,
Who fell in love with shoes,
From an early age,
My mother would dress me up,
Buying gorgeous, sparkly,
Young girl shoes,
That had glitter and bright colours,
Such as pinks, oranges and reds,
I loved wearing those buckle shoes,
Blue Jelly shoes in the summer,
And for school,
Smart black leather loafers.

Growing up with shoes,
Taught me many things:
I could wear beautiful,
Stylish and glamorous shoes,
That other women,
Would be jealous of,
Whether platforms, stilettos,
Sandals, court shoes, wedges,
And heeled pumps,
For every shoe is my passion.

I wear black court shoes for work,
I love Christian Louboutin,
Stilettos in fuchsia and peach,
I wear wooden platforms,
In summer and gladiator sandals,
For I love the sun on me,
As I wear those shoes,
Along with a rainbow of heels,
For meals and parties at night.

All these shoes make me look stylish,
In vogue, for I am ultra fashionable,
And I am a woman,
And my legs look long, toned,
And sexy to men and women,
I can give or take earrings,
But shoes I have to have,
For I am a woman of the world,
And I walk those miles in these shoes,
I look good and love my body,
With my strength and femininity,
That appeals to any decade.
