Shores Of Solace Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Shores Of Solace

Walking on the beach
one solitary moonlit night
as an endless tide rolled in
sweeping foot traces from sight

The sky was set a glow
by distant sequined fires
suspended in a serene sapphire
heaven… igniting past desires

Each wave continued to renew
loneliness…as hours of darkness
slowly dwindled…a horizon of lustrous
hues wakened grieving blindness

Tears of sadness faded away
as they were carried out to sea
With warming light upon my face...
the flutter of angel wings set me free
