Shove Me Into Unknown Waters Why Don'T You? Poem by Gabriella Mantone

Shove Me Into Unknown Waters Why Don'T You?

You don’t know pain.
The way it bites at your scars
leaving new velvet rags hanging from your limp body.
Don’t be scared to rip apart the shadows that hide away your face
death is simple.
Life is what keeps you hanging.
Breath
by
Breath
by every wakening moment you scream.
the sound of terror as you try to escape the vivid memory’s of loss.
Do you know love?
Do you know how to fall, or was that you in my nightmares, grabbing at my feet, trying to hold on, from dying in loves helplessness.
You see, my eyes have caught aflame. there blazing with the horror of your retched echo.
And I drown. Like a stone, I ripple through the waters and into the minds of my forgotten, so they will remember
Every
single
Time
They plunged into my heart, and twisted what could be my only way to live.
And as the pebble drops into the water, I fall to. my breath is empty.
My heart is motionless.
You don’t pain.
So stop acting as though you do.
