Show Less Poem by gershon hepner

Show less, leave more to the imagination,
becomes the rule that every stripper knows,

for what’s revealed may lead to lamentation,
and with concealment lovers’ interest grows.

Velásquez’ art is life perpetuated,
concealing to attract the viewers’ eyes,

and lovers, when they are infatuated,
must do this too, surprising their great prize.
