Shuddered Lies Poem by Tohru Frost

Shuddered Lies

Plastic smiles,
Inlayed tiles,
Big houses,
Divorced spouses,
Much money,
No “honey”?
What happened dad?
Are you glad?
I’m not.
I know why mom left,
Her happiness you bought,
With just a ring?
Not the love in that.
Try and win me back,
I’ll leave and take my pack,
Never see your lies again,
You just stay in your fancy den.
