Sic Transit Gloria Mundi Poem by Benjamin Mitchell

Sic Transit Gloria Mundi

Moments float like motes of dust
Struck by some celestial light.
Though they shine, indeed they must
Float on still, beyond my sight.

Flee, you golden moments, flee!
Far beyond my mind's cruel knife
Before its edge vivisects thee
And kills thee with the candid life.
