Siddhartha
We brought him silken robes and golden shoes,
He gave us a wanderer's clothes.
I looked at this and liked it.
We brought him the richest foods and drink.
He gave us alms.
I looked at this and liked it.
We gave him a palace filled with dancers.
He gave us a best friend.
I looked at this and liked it.
We gave him a reason to start battle against us.
He gave us release from our egos.
I looked at this and said 'oh wow.'
We gave him all our chaos.
He gave us meditation.
I did blissful meditation.
We gave him back our newly reached state.
He joined us in our meditation.
I found happiness resides within.
And the peaceful prince who taught me.
Who was the gentle prince.

From contemplation to temptation to contemplation and back again, the never-ending circle of rewriting love. I like this.
