Silent Night Poem by Thamsanqa Job Mzamo

Silent Night

Far deep into the silent, starry night
A baby boy so small and cute is born,
In a stable with a manger dark and cold;
With gifts freely given of silver and gold
Incense and myrrh of diff'rent kinds hands-borne,
And in a large and knotty bundle so tight!
They ululated, : 'Hail the new-born King,
Hosanna to the One who on earth comes,
And in the Holy name of the good Lord-
Behold, unto us is born the Lord;
In the name of the Almighty He comes
And together the Heavenly voices sing;
'Shout out that on this here earth be peace,
And in the Heavens they rejoice! '
