***silly Man(For Peter Who Knew No Better And Was Capable Of Knowing No Better And Who For The Better I Now Know No More) Poem by Dee Wright

***silly Man(For Peter Who Knew No Better And Was Capable Of Knowing No Better And Who For The Better I Now Know No More)

You never could
figure out

how I
not only had

such a good figure

but had such a good head
for figures,

You however
had a pot belly

and couldn’t put one & one
together to make two.

Could you?

Dumb as
they come

your most outstanding feature
you could always make me come.

And yet
you stupidly
call me stupid!

Go look in a mirror!
See what you will find!

whilst I finish your tax returns.

Silly man!

I threw my pearls before you
...you swine!

And now I’ve come
to my senses

I’m glad
what’s mine is mine!
