Simple Pause Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Simple Pause

The death is reality
Real blessings from an almighty
We need not feel afraid
When about to be laid

It may turn sad
When lines are read
About last leg of an autumn
'The person is not to return'

The gloom descends
And sends
Some signal
Of arrival

Even though it is certain
Yet we maintain
Gloomy picture in mind
And try to find

Not even good knowledge helps
As death serves good slap
Person is reminded of final abode
Where he has to move and reside

Think or not
The battle is fought
Life comes to an end at time
When we are asleep or away sometimes

It is simple pause
Because
Life may take place elsewhere
To be known as birth somewhere
