Sinful Little Harlot Poem by Drew Swartz

Sinful Little Harlot

The bumps
The marks
My own work of art
Each mark is a painting
Each painting has a story
The stories end the same
They all end in scarlet
For I am nothing more than a sinful little Harlot

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I've done things I'm not proud of. We all have but why should they ruin our lives. My paintings are cuts upon my skin. I put them there. I know I'm not alone but it's when you come back to reality that you realize you just put a story on yourself. Everyone has different reasons for them. Never are they good though.
