Sing A Pact Poem by Morgane A Heyne

Sing A Pact

Sign A Pact With The Dear Devil

Double moon, double take,
Why do some things always break?
In the heart, in every soul,
Always remains a quest for control.

Control your life, and those you love,
Control your fears and take a hold off;
All those things you can't escape,
Because the last thing you want is to face fate.

The fate that chooses and decides,
If you are good, If you are kind;
If you will punish or be hurt,
Beware dear friend, remain alert.

Empty boxes lay around,
Of things that you have lost and found;
The treasure of your past,
And those that aren't meant to last.

The windows creak as the wind blows;
Why in god's name won't you let go,
Off all those feeling that drag you down,
And make you feel like the new kid in town.

Adapt and change, change everything,
Your thoughts you're clothes, who you've always been;
If he can't see you, maybe he will,
If you sing the pact with the dear devil.
