Singleton Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Singleton

Rating: 5.0

Sans the toe rings
Or Vermillion and iron hand band
No more rings or pretty little strings
That show I am 'owned'
No wedding rings

No more signs
Or symptoms
One can see
Of a betrothed
Evidently In me

My fate
The destiny
He did create
I just accept
No point
To debate

I feel so light
Like a tree in fall
No leaves or fruits
No adornments
At all

I know the eyes
They stare at me
Questions and doubts
About my identity

It's just the beginning
Of how life has changed
Since I have become
So free and Unchained

I am yin and yang in one
Cosmic energies
I am the Sun

I have to agree with L Rao, it's very good! Like always. Your very talented indeed.
