Sinking Poem by Summer Dawn Pond

Sinking

I'm lost in a sea
of darkness
and you are my only light
I wait and wait
and toss and turn and call out to you
Yet I hear nothing and
all the same
I listen and try and attempt
I engorge myself in what I consider
silence and
still I hear no answer.
The waves are tried, true, blue
and oh, but you,
you are my life boat.
