Sitting Still Poem by Leon Jaime Villegas

Sitting Still

Sitting still here just being
Absorbing all for the time being
All thoughts peeking in
I invite in
Them served, helped and taught me interesting things
Armed with a purpose their task
Although I disagree once in a while
They touch sometimes a nerve hardly agreeable
Thoughts come and go
As easy as born
Their intentions we don't know
They instill emotions leave me in awe
With no clear understanding or ideas of them I make,
Remain clueless I,
Disarmed and hopes none
My mind fills with thoughts
all the time
Liken anyone's anyhow
Or better part of it having no role defined
All contradiction for no reason
I assumed, it's treason
A smug it feels and wishes thus
betray me my mind
