Six Pages And A Half Of Complication... Poem by Lynn El Amine

Six Pages And A Half Of Complication...

You
With your brown eyes
And I,
With my mud
Loathe you
So you
Can take your ear somewhere else
Because I won't listen
And you're too dumb to speak
So I'll,
Wear the expensive jewelry
Expensive, cheap, expensive
And you
You'll see the way I shine
You'll see why I'm so divine
And you
And your black robes
The black shoes
Sway to the music of the dark in the sky
And I,
Want you dead
Want me dead

And you
Taste the cream
You taste and feed me
Your bitter dessert
Bittersweet
So I,
Fire back
And wait for time
To backfire on me

And you crave
Only to be satisfied
And to be satisfied
Is to stop craving
But you want more
And I want less
And you turn gold
Into mold
Only by a glare
Now I,
Kneel for the monument
That's been jinxed by you
And you
You jinx
The mirror, my mirror
So I no longer like what I see
No longer like the me

And I, swim in the sea
Where the ships sank
And the sky
Looks at you, me
So that we,
Can rise
But we don't
But we can't…

And the red
The red isn't wine
I simply feel
And bleed
For the sake of thee
The you
That burned the me

Now she,
A beautiful lady,
In black and thorns,
Lingers in you
Within the core of you
Only to remind you
Of the lost photographs
Photographs of me

And now I,
Inhale the smoke
Of the cigar you offered me
Wear the life
You designed in my honor
And leave the ashes
But the ashes must remain
For the sake of tomorrow
The tomorrow of me

And you try to make me see
The bunny shaped cloud
The rainbow and the candy
But you know,
Know the secret to your spell
Sp go ahead
Rebel
Rebel

Because I,
Must carry on,
For the sake of the ashes
The ashes, ashes
So I smile to the shadows
And stay away from the sun
Because you
Already built that five star hotel of yours
Right in front of my tiny cabin
And you
Sit in your heat
While I freeze
I freeze, I freeze
And you can't spare a buck or two
To keep me warm
So I,
Unfold myself to you
Give you my breath
And you simply stop
And stare
At the sad details of my naked inside
While I wait for the snapshot to be taken
So you shoot
And shoot
With the yellow in your hand
The filter in your mouth

So I, infer, infer
That the tide is the same
That you walk in my shoes everyday

Equilibrium
Both weigh the same
And dance in the same game
But your red apple doesn't tempt me
Like your wine, my wine

And you
Have a mind
Where time lives by the rules

And the rain says hello
And I like the rain
And the cold
The cold is my summer, the summer
Where my flowers bloom
But you cry
And I smile
Because I
Exist to belong
To the summer, the cold
Because all I need
Is mud
And my summer
Brings the sand and rain together
Makes a factory
Where birth is given to chocolate

So you,
Can have my palm
To keep you warm
Because you
Still control
The real in me
The jar of dreams

And I,
Would like to have a sip
Of your opium, the poison
The tincture made by your tears
Unfaithful tears
Unfaithful you
But I still want to be healed
Physically
Morally
I want to be healed
Unconsciously
So I wait for you
I wait for you

The years will go by
And I'll be right here waiting…
