Skylar Poem by Leslie Alexis

Skylar

His name a reflection of love,
Such as that which stands all time.
His birth, a making of heavenly fate,
Such that death and hell can’t abase.

Beautiful this youngster shall be,
A perfect reflection of his mother’s own.
Of him his earthly father would be proud,
As he grows to exemplify what man should be.

He would be courteous and hard-working,
Kind and tolerant; with all the virtues.
He would love and respect women,
And one he shall take as his wedded wife.

And with grace he shall grow his children,
The way he was by his mom and dad.
Most importantly he’d love the Lord,
And before his own, He’d do God’s will.

By his tongue many shall be saved,
As through faith Christ holds his hands.
Hell would not be able to touch him,
And sin's death shall not be his way.

And all that know him would be proud
At this embodiment of pure love.
