Sleep Poem by syed khizer aleem

Sleep

Rating: 5.0

Oh dear sleep
You make me weep
In all those lonely hours
Which do not leap

You make me think about her
Whenever I hide in my blanket fur
Then I start to think about my life
Oh God I wish I could stab myself with a knife

I'm paralyzed by this crippling pain
Which has made my journey so lame
I wish I could go back in time
And make everything right and fine

I know life doesn't work that way
Everything has a cost and I must pay
So I try to embrace you, oh sleep
but every time I go to bed I weep.
