Sleep Now Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Sleep Now

Rating: 5.0

Tears fall
And call for
Your memory
I feel so sad and sorry

I turn
And in return
Find your absence
I miss your presence

You left with no reason
I loved you as dearest person
I ate no meals
When needed in real

Oh no, you were my guide
Teacher, mother and helped to glide
I was slowly descending on earth
But never dreamed about your death

"Sleep now" she will put her finger
In my untrimmed and curly hair
I then used to sleep in her lap
It was her calculated step

She has left behind
Things that were kind
To remind me about position
That had remained unknown
