Sleep On My Mind Poem by Reason A. Poteet

Sleep On My Mind

acrostic with a secret

Siesta - the time when every
Living mortal rests at mid-day.
Extreme heat requires naps after
Earth's equatorial high noon.
People pause at the hottest time

Of day. Some feed on reveries
Nodding off even from their play.

Meditative artist, master
Yoga practitioner, fine tunes

Mental exercise - that's sublime.
In the lightest of daydreams, I
Nudge my dissonant side to just
Desist from all labor and snore.
