Sleep Walking! Poem by Koena Mokoena

I get up in the dawn of the day, because i want to plan, perform & achieve... /
I feel like my body is reminding me the pains of traveling a long distance /
in search of information. /
Hence, i slept like a toddler. /

I met my long time friend, before i got to an orphanage home. /
I was maintaining my plans in the streets, for my local community & he came to me! /
This sounds like a serious problem, hence i listened when he told me about his journey /
to womanizing nation. /
I was worried about his future, because there is no-one responsible /
for providing advices, motivation & jokes. /
I nearly gave up my plans, because i was in a hurry. /
Hence, he recalled me & offered me the cigarette! /
I refused, because i made a decision to re-build my health, by quitting to smoke. /
The fact is the truth hurts, so to justify his mistake, /
he approached a certain lady. /
I cried mentally & emotionally, because i want to have a marriage. /
Hence, i choose to hesitate them & went home. /
