Sleeping Poem by Daya Nandan

Sleeping

I hate dragging myself out of bed each day,
Awakening me from sleep's beautiful way,
Going againsts the gravity of sleep upon me,
Forcing my peaceful eyes open in order to see,

Oh how i hate waking up for class at first light,
Disrupting the sleep pattern i created at night,
Hitting the snooze button to keep my dreams alive,
But my efforts to prolong my slumber never survive
