The waves are crashing all around me
There is no rescue I now can see
For all is lost, my grip is loosening
The pain too great
The pain so great
And I am slipping – away

Goodbye fair moon
Goodbye my star
Goodbye my mountain, no longer far
The waves still crashing
I can no longer stay
And I am slipping – away

Do not be sad you could not help me
You did not cause this grief, this pain
For your love is strong and it holds me strong
But the pain is too great and the waves keep crashing
And I have not the strength though I try to hold on
And I am slipping - away

Forever remember, I loved you true
As I slip away into the dark
And think only of that precious day when two hearts found each other
That day filled with sunshine in that beautiful park
Always remember; your love goes with me, my love stays with you
As I slip away, as I slip away
