Slipping Through My Fingers Poem by Colin Breck Boardman

Slipping Through My Fingers

Slipping through my fingers,
And accelerating away
Towards destruction,
With a ringing heartbeat,
My wasted life,
Wasting yours,
Caught up in these
Drawn out moments,
Still beating,
Still hopeful,
Of staving off
The seemingly inevitable.
