Slow As Turtles Poem by Stanley Cooper

Slow As Turtles

Rating: 5.0

At 80 plus we’re not reflexive
We’ve lost that quick and easy way
Our speedy movements are less excessive
We’re slow as turtles, to our dismay

But slow and steadfast is not so bad
We were never agile as Fred Astaire
We’ll reach our goals of old-time lads
And be the turtle who beat the hare

You have caused laughter here Stanley, I am still chuckling. Well presented poem. I hope you don't turn turtle. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
