Slurring My Words Poem by Kyle Schlicher

Slurring My Words

Rating: 5.0

it's a sure sign

of the distorted gamble

when the lies
sound the same
as the truth.

sonic repercussions
echo
forever
thru
space
occupied
by unrelenting penitence

hold on,

hold
on
to
my
hand,

don't let go.

i can feel the numbness
coming
on,

relief is on the way.

can you understand
what i am trying to say?

everybody has their own way out
of
this
wicked,
cruel life.

follow me,

i choose this way out.

first I loved the title, which like a flame to a moth attracted me, then I was swallowed by the words, singed and burned flamed, sonic repercussions echo :)
