I opened the window
To welcome the sunlight
But something went wrong
As a small particle
Hit me in my eyes
My vision blurred
I could not distinguish
Green or red, black or white
Something went wrong
I remained confused
With pain and felt sad
When my phone rang
My son from America called
Hello Mama, How are you?
Oh Dear, I am alright
But he asked,
Why your voice
Sound so sad
No, I am perfectly O.K.
Tell me, how are you there
I have heard in the news
In America, there is cold storm and heavy ice
That affecting people's lives
No Mama, we are all safe and in good health
I felt
As if every thing has become right again
Smile returned to my face
As I looked to the sunshine
That had fallen in the courtyard
Filling the space with golden warmth.
Often, it is small things that greatly matter. I loved this simple poem, particularly the beautiful ending. (10)
Thank you very much for your appreciation.Life current is full of small moments. In our daily living we come with different situations through our interactions with people around us, A harsh word spoken by someone or unbecoming behavior of a loved one may appear small outside, but it affects so much.as it may down our spirit. When we see love and kindness around us we feel happy and jubilant.
Small things done with love make those things great. A beautiful poem with a beautiful ending.
A very heartwarming write. Affection and love shown by a loved one makes our day wonderful. It will ease/ cure the pain we feel at the moment. And the knowledge that they are safe gives us peace of mind. The mingling with nature in this write enhanced the beauty of this poem.
most definitely, small things matter. Thanks for sharing the poem.
