Smile Poem by Seán O Muiríosa

Smile

He wears a smile
It’s been a while,
He’s like a dreamer
Says she’s a screamer.

Like I wanted to know
About their private show
Hot and butt-naked
How she can shake it.

Though truly I’m glad
He’s found someone as mad
Who’ll give him a kiss
He’s someone she’ll miss

When he leaves for work
With his little quirk
Of a secretive glance
They’ve taken this chance

For happiness and ran
To places rivers plan
A journey from source to sea
Though staying wild and free.

But if there’s anyone who might
He’s the one to fight
To keep that smile,
Friend, it’s been a while.
