Smiles Poem by Tessa Eichhorst

Smiles

Rating: 4.8

Everytime I see your face whether in
person or in thought, I feel the need to
smile. You bring joy to my heart, a
beam of sunlight to my face, and
laughter to calm my fears.

Whenever there's the slightest chance
I may see you, you're all I think about
day and night. This smile which you now
give me could not have come at a
better time. In all this year end stress
that is knotting my once smooth back,
I have the sense of seeing you this
weekend.

If only the last smile and warm, comforting
hug you last gave me could have stayed.
Maybe this drawn out stress could go
another way. The smile that passes
across your face is the best I've ever
seen. Never has one smile brought my life
so much clarity.

I just love the way you make me smile.
