Smiles Poem by Shawn Montgomery

Smiles

There is a feeling beat by none:
Waking up next to her, my love.
With light, on her, dawning from sun,
Her my partner for life, my dove.

My break to fact, filling from dreams,
Her's a sleepy grin two parts built:
Part of, nothing but love, it seems,
Part of, mem'ries of nights, no guilt.

A tale for its own to speak tale,
Each breath it breathes a new story,
And though our past set has sail,
It is, most the tale of glory.

There is one thought, for which I wish,
To add, our tale more miles,
And to, end my state of languish,
In a pursuit of more smiles.
