Smiling Face Poem by Juan Olivarez

Smiling Face

A smiling face always wins,
The frowns over to your side.
There's nothing like a toothy grin,
To make a scowl go hide.

A smiling face brightens up,
The darkest night around.
Dancing round with the kitchen mop,
Dispelling ugly frowns.

A smiling face chases winter,
From the human face,
Nevermore will you be bitter,
There's nothing it can't erase.

So wear a smiling face,
Everywhere you go,
It really is an acquired grace,
It's just as good as gold.
