Snot Funny Poem by Dean Bottomlley

Snot Funny

William Jones, aged just six
Got himself in a awful fix.
Found he could not join in fun.
As all the time his nose would run.

All the time, yes, none stop
From his nose the snot would drop.
Causing others to exclaim
"Someone fit him with a drain"

In order to join in the games
And stop them calling nasty names.
He put a trough onto his lip
So down a pipe the snot would drip.

Snot is rather thick you know
So through the pipe it would not go.
It just built up inside the trough
Then William Jones had to cough!

The end result was strange to see
The snot projected wild and free.
I fell onto the nearby ground
Covering everything, all around.

But snot is slippery you may know
The other kids soon found it so.
They slipped and slid just as on ice
And many shouted "This is nice"

Now William Jones has many mates
Often staying out quite late.
And any time they want to skate
They use the snot of their best mate.
