Mrs. Cynosure (May 17 1987 / Junction City Oregon)
Snow
as it pores down from the heavens
it glimmers on the ground
a smile a rises on
my face
a smile that wont leave until it does
as we drive by it my eyes start to
glimmer
like it does when it hits the ground
memories start flowing back
of us spending time together
when we were still
a family
not just people who live together
as it covers the ground
the memories keep flooding back
like a river that has flooded a town
knowing I wont be back
for a long time
a tear rolls down my face
for I know now that I’ll be leaving
my home away from home
