Snow Poem by Micron

Snow

Rating: 5.0

Today as normal I woke to the radio
I learnt overnight there’d been so much snow
Snow pure white, crisp fresh untouched
And problems it caused oh so much
The train tracks this white stuff just softly blocked,
And roads just disappeared as if they’d been forgot
Buses coaches cancelled as they cant cope
While children sat listening to the radio in hope
As long lists of schools closed were read
They rejoiced as a snow holiday was had
So children gleefully began to play
On this their bonus extra holiday
Putting on brightly coloured hat scarf and jacket
Running outside the snow playground was met
Darting shouting, climbing and sliding,
In this snow so much fun happiness they finding
While adults look at the practical things
The road jams and all the problem it brings
Maybe we could learn from the children a thing or two
To have fun enjoy it and not fret and be blue.
