Snowy Afternoon Poem by Marilyn Lott

Snowy Afternoon

It was on a snowy afternoon
I went out for a drive
It looked like all the plant life
Never could survive

So beautiful the scene’s I saw
Deep snow on everything
White and cold but picturesque
Looked like forever till the spring

Look over there at the mailboxes
Just love that wintry style
Covered in a blanket
That could be here for awhile

Even on the windmill
Reaching for the sky
Snow has laced it carefully
A pleasure to the eye

There is nothing like a snowstorm
To slow things down a bit
And to the waiting camera
It is certainly a hit!
