So Different
Put on my shoes and walk with me into
my world of sorrows.
My endless state of loneliness, cold pain,
and lost tomorrows.
The days and nights continue on, the
battle never ends.
The heartbreak from cruel women, and
the hatred from all men.
To be one who is different, a square peg
in a round hole.
To be sane among insanity, shouting truth
that leaves an echo.

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
Maya Angelou
Hold on to your sanity. Don’t be discouraged, Mark, thinking you’re some square. You’re not. Simply put, you are unique - beautiful and special in the eyes of God. In this piece, you’ve done a great job in expressing yourself with imagery, befitting to portray your deep sentiments.
Again, why the reference to agedness? You have hardly reached there yet, believe me. And why the double spacing? It is well done though.

That was so moving Mark! I really liked it
