So Empty



I feel so solemn although I am so abundant with life,
There's two beating hearts inside this body of mine.
That sounds so marvelous one would think...
But my lover's wounding words cause my heart to sink.
Comments that evoke constant displays of resentment,
Unprepared for the commitment of this beating heart's attachment.
