So Long My Once Upon A Time Poem by Paul Storm

So Long My Once Upon A Time

Rating: 5.0

another night gazing the streaming streets
a heart lost long ago and now a mind
getting lost along the stream

the sky never opened
so wide on this night but
this magic arrives too late

dog walkers know this anguish
the lonely street anguish where
cats moan for morning to come

what is it with wanting to go back
to a time of holding
hands and popcorn?

only you were the one
only you could have been the one
so long my once upon a time
