Soaring Wings Poem by Bill Simmons

Soaring Wings

Rating: 5.0

Soaring wings, of that of an eagle
Flying so high, beneath your wings
Is all we hope for, we can't ask for more
All the hopes, to small children's dreams

Flying so high, so free in the sky
Standing for right, standing for free
May all those who gave, may no one take away
This home of the free, this land of the brave

Give us your strength, so we might carry on
For those who live, and those who died
May freedoms glory, be within our eyes
May one more child, know in their life

Soaring wings, of that of an eagle
Beneath your wings, our flag so flies
May we stand for truth, may we not fail you
And tonight, one child see in their eyes

Soaring with you, are the souls of those who gave
All of their hopes, all of their dreams
May you protect us, and may you guide us
And may their dreams live on, beneath soaring wings.
