Sojourned: Sleepy Hollow Affairs

SOJOURNED: SLEEPY HOLLOW AFFAIRS

I saw a tree flying across the sky…
For more than what's been televised.
Auditing classes of distinction for
My rights. Out of sight of whose
Minds revitalized? Landfills of
Deserts spilled in an hourglass past
Midnight. Taken upon by dreams
In need of their awakening.
Where light beams set the stage
In Greek mythology.

Leading out of swan songs in merry
Old England. The British Isles. The
Coast of barren seas. Circumnavigate
The earth that bleeds. Colors of
Windblown treaties. Successions held
In toll past forgeries. Abiding
Laws for innocence. Where shadows creep
Up beyond fallen sleep. For grooms
In wedding schemes. At large
Of words in testaments.

Virgin heart that starts the fire's passion
Long ago. Reading books. Candles glow.
Hearth of heartache's magic to unfold.
The light in words heard around
The globe. Taking time no average
Soul. Precocious child. Thunder rolls.
Off the edge of anthologies
Sold. As an opus musical.
Outside of shadows learned
In conscience lyrical.

Themes of plots driven for livelihood.
Privatized by whom? Restricted out
Of the womb. Oh mother dearest don't
Lie to me. Selling me out
For bygone property. Shallow rivers run
Deep. Counting on one's sole delivery.
Patience to a fault of fallen
Angels in crises of stories bent
Back over time. Compelling
To idolization.

Vestiges discerned from inner goals.
No childhood allowed in the home.
Imagined in stories prosaic poetical.
Wings for prayers apolitical. Swept
Out of rooms for moral contingencies.
Between the lines of each derivative.
Painting pictures mindful of images.
In dire straights faked out of
Honest privileges. Sojourned in
Sleepy hollow affairs.
