Soldiers Return Poem by Jodie Mayhew

Soldiers Return

Shall we dance under the Stars, My Love
On a Clear and Cloudless Night
Embraced within our Sacred Love
Beneath a Moonlit Sky.
Or Maybe we could Take a Walk
Under a Gentle Mist
When sometimes I know
you will grace my cheek with Tender Kiss.
Perhaps it will be Raining, Love
And we could stay indoors
For so long I have missed your arms
I have so missed your warmth.
And Maybe we'll sip Cocoa
Beside a Winters' Hearth
And knowing we want nothing more than
Being where we Are.
Perhaps it will be Summer, Love
When you are Home once more
Our nights content..Our Days then spent
In Sunshine on the Shore.
In Autumns Breeze
Then It would Be
I think the Perfect Time
To breathe in Cool, Crisp Mountain Air
As we drive through Country Miles.
But even if its not till Spring
I await you Faithfully
For then we'll laze in flowered fields
And Picnic By the Sea.
No Matter where.The Seasons are
When you return to Me
My Darling, I just cannot wait
For All That it Will Be.
