Soliloquy Poem by Jyotishman Debnath

Soliloquy

if you would have been a tune
I would have whistled it day after day

if you would have been a song
I would have wore it in my voice

if you would have been a poem
I would have written it on my heart

if you would have been a flower
I would have waited for another spring to see you bloom

but you are nothing of that sort!

I know, you are just a piece of past
grown somewhere in my heart once upon a time

whose memory is like a melodious tune
warmth is like a love song
existance is like an aromatic flower
in my heart.

dear, how can I forget you?
